A Christian Nation
When our Christian forefathers were called upon to act as the moral leaders of the world, they answered the call time and time again. Because of their sacrifices, our nation holds a special place in God’s heart both as a Christian nation and as the world’s moral leader. This position comes with great power and great responsibility.
Our national identity rests on the ideal that America is a force for good in the world. When our global neighbors suffer natural disasters, we deliver Christian compassion in the form of humanitarian aid. When tyrants come to power and threaten their own people, we oppose the powerful and defend the meek. When Christians are persecuted in their homeland, we offer asylum and freedom to worship.
But how will the United States continue to identify itself as a moral, Christian nation when we fail to ease the suffering of nations around the world, and actively cause this suffering?
We are the Americans writing this chapter in the history of the United States and of the world. We must dedicate ourselves to fulfill our promise as a Christian nation. By dedicating ourselves to the fight against global warming, we will once again cement our rightful place as a Christian nation and the world’s moral leader.
